General Description

The Blastronix Rs 232/8S PCI card is one of the highest performance 8 port cards on the market today.  All 8 port units come with 16C954 UARTS which feature 128 byte transmit and receive buffers (FIFO's) to help guard against loss of data in your busy system.   16C954 UART's can be programmed for automatic hardware and software flow control.  The installer software will automatically assign the ports standard device names such as COM1-COM8.   Multiple cards may be put into one machine to allow for more than 8 additional ports. This unit will support baud rates of up to 920K baud for your high speed applications such as ISDN modems. Interrupt sharing allows multiple ports on a single card to all use the same interrupt. Each port uses an industry standard RJ 45 Keyed connector.
